Charles Askenaizer is an actor, director, teacher, producer, and the founder and Artistic Director of Invictus Theatre. In 6 years he has led Invictus to 13 Joseph Jefferson Nominations (5 wins), 8 Black Theater Alliance Awards Nominations (3 wins), and 9 Broadway World Chicago Nominations. Invictus directing credits include "Julius Caesar", "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" (Jeff Award recipient for Director and Production), "Hamlet", "'night, Mother" (assoc. Director), "The Merchant of Venice", and "Othello: The Moor of Venice". Additional producer credits for Invictus include "Love's Labour's Lost", "A Raisin in the Sun", "Ruined" (Jeff Award Nomination for Production), and "The Mountaintop" (Jeff Recommended).
